Play from 0:02[0:02]" Turn it over here -- game one starter. We're going to go. Daisuke. Beckett Lester. Wakefield. Now. Reserve the right something crazy happens in the middle to late to change but. But that's the way were set up to go. The reasoning is actually pretty simple think. I thought this was how would shake out even before we did the media. After being -- To -- need to take the proper time and talk it through. But he gives people. Rest. Not too much rest not too little. This far the best -- real of one guy going on 81 guy going on regular. Keep everybody somewhat in line and -- this time here is huge and it's will take advantage of -- wall trying not to give too much. And the guys have pitched 12 and three. Obviously will be lined up for 56 and seven. You'd nobody is going to throw three. So happens yeah. Bills three for twice is really what's important regardless of -- goes on. Questions we."

Play from 1:25[1:25]" With. With Beckett in it and Lester. John's success at Fenway it was at all a factor in the house so."

Play from 1:32[1:32]" No not really I -- I know what it is to us again how I just explained it was more it really wasn't. You can get into a lot of the tales. But they're really didn't need to be the way it lined up. Was was appropriate. And again for a Ross factoring in practice those three -- pitch twice if it goes to seven. Again they did it doesn't rule in the end as long as their pitching. The order isn't as important so you -- going okay what's best for them."

Play from 2:07[2:07]" Terry you have familiarity obviously eighteen games. This seemingly bad blood between the two teams house at all factor into a seven game -- he has. We knew we know them really well they know us really well."

Play from 2:23[2:23]" It is it's the way it is when you play in your division song. Place so much. Did you know again it -- that's the way it is totally got what was with us with the Yankees the past two years that you claim a bunch. The bad blood that's that's you know if you I don't I don't think anybody's. Even thought -- long. This -- the playoffs. Really doesn't mean aren't. -- Terry Jamaican the other roster to jet and Latin pitcher for the for this round Horry here's to attempt. We have not done that yet that's real what meetings tomorrow in Tampa -- we will work -- I think at 3 o'clock. One of our meetings in the morning. You'll be okay. Mean I mean are you okay scary. -- I -- I -- last night. It gives more. What a meeting tomorrow I think we're gonna have me for like nine to me 130. That work out of theory. And I think we'll probably have a roster two outs to mark before work. No --"

Play from 3:41[3:41]" Was there any consideration. To birds for game four overweight can wire went on. Oh sure. I am hopeful wore -- we considered everything but nugget. Think when you when it comes down to what serves the ball club best. Byrd can probably be used a little bit more flux of flexibly is -- worth more flexible other bullpen. And then -- lineup weight you put him with cash. UCL fart in goal and then you can make your determinations on how to -- the bullpen. As opposed to trying to bring in -- in the middle game. Knowing these possibly -- catch of the -- the other some things it it's just it's kind of an easy decision just when you look at all the dynamics."

Play from 4:38[4:38]" We to a works now."

Play from 4:39[4:39]" It's fifty foot putt on Erica. Okay the works forgot the question now seriously. Is Tampa bay as surprised you and what makes him an uplifting. While they're not a playoff team I'm in."

Play from 4:59[4:59]" it shouldn't be a surprise. A 162 games in a playoff series. That they're good. Mean I understand. Some of the story behind this they hadn't had any success going into this year and all the sudden they want from the bottom to the top it's a great story for baseball. It made our life a little bit more miserable this year. If you look at their team. From top to bottom. There really shouldn't be surprise. They have very good very healthy starting rotation. -- deep bullpen and they -- able to match up they have power. You know the starters got a deep -- they didn't wear out their bullpen. They catch the ball but it named team in the league. And offensively they have gotten contributions from everybody. How many times turn on TV you see somebody hitting a walk off home run or somebody doing something somebody got hurt somebody else picked it up. They had -- have a real good thing going our job will be to derail that. Yeah."

Play from 6:10[6:10]" Was there any temptation or thought given to pitching Lester 2 -- twice in the first six games."

Play from 6:18[6:18]" What what is you have to explain to me what this a seven game series. So what's. Not -- really understand why we need to get him in the first six. If you could explain it to me better I might give you better answer."

Play from 6:33[6:33]" And I guess and -- reason. You. --"

Play from 6:42[6:42]" Okay I don't understand. I apologize we're so it's best of seven. It's my best -- six. If it was best of six week he would. I don't I don't get it. If you did you only have a reason to ask it's going to be hard to answer."

Play from 6:59[6:59]" Well and it really -- fitness. Three do. It's."

Play from 7:14[7:14]" Beckett that okay. -- because the idea as to when the series not win game six. Hit it to that I'd never have quite understood up philosophy. Our idea when we set up -- to win the series. If you the way you're talking if you set up if Lester is if it's such a big deal to pitch him in game six. What abdic himself. You give you guys -- rest they need. And set up for the entire series and then if you're losing don't panic."

Play from 7:53[7:53]" Terry fourth time in six years you've been here to this level Odyssey experience factor do you think. Help you. And the team get --"

Play from 8:03[8:03]" You know I think it'd be one thing -- really does help their -- things have happened on the periphery that Kim. -- get in the way. Mean. You know there's there's there's little little things -- a ticket requests or that the extra media things that they can. Kind of -- awful but at least we know what to expect. And he did so it doesn't get in the way of baseball that's all idea is to build play the best baseball you can. Doesn't mean doesn't guarantee a win but that's what you really set out to do. And the first time you hear people say it and I've myself probably included. It can be a little overwhelming. In we really tried harder. To never let that happen but you get thrown seen a lot of unusual requests everybody house they request. And it snows again if you're used to always have an idea. So the baseball doesn't get pushed aside."

Play from 9:02[9:02]" Well Terry logic usually says that young players don't do well consistently in professional sports but yet in this organization. Young players do succeed and especially so it seems when the stakes go up what is it about the young players and that you guys have that allows them to succeed quicker maybe than. In other professional sports other teams."

Play from 9:21[9:21]" He's of logic says the young or don't succeed."

Play from 9:26[9:26]" I don't know that I agree that. Why would why wouldn't day."

Play from 9:32[9:32]" I don't agree with that I'll I would have a hard time in exile agree with the they're good players. If you're good player I don't think it matters what age or. Again -- do we try to certainly talk to players if they are inexperienced and not hold that against them but. Continue to talk to when they make a mistake not. Jump down your throat but. Given guidance. Because there are you know the only good experiences apply. But I I. Think that we've been blessed with this organization or some really good players come through here and because they're young I would never hold it we would never hold -- against they can help -- well we wherever able to put your finger this year on why maybe you struggled a little bit domes the record record was an accurate. Now and you're right it isn't. I used to think it was fairly obvious. When we were slower. And we would get on turf. And -- it was Toronto. Minnesota. Teams that could run and we couldn't. We were -- disadvantage sometimes I don't feel that way anymore or built differently. But your right our record is not very good. I'm hopeful that that's going to change. Terry how important is it to get dusty going in the series at the top lineup. Well he had a numbers light yet tough series that we won this never revolve around one person he's a very good player. The better he does specially -- David Duke is important but. The idea isn't to get one guy goal in the ideas to win now -- best players -- in the way they can certainly helps. At the risk of -- harping on the rotation. Lester could have started game two on what would qualify as quote unquote ordinary rest forges. How much did the workload on him in the first round factor into getting that extra break what's not just that but if you do that. Then your back here you have one guy going on normal rest that's actually been pushed pretty good to start tomorrow. And then you have another guy that's pitched once in two weeks. That. Would be. Once in three weeks. You know again we try to look at a lot of things -- logically. Please take this right or running you the media has a way of maybe. Not looking at things quite as deeply as maybe you should. Me before back -- last start he was the best post season pitcher may be in the history of the game he had the audacity. To be a little rusty. After two weeks. We we we can we don't need to run away from Beckett need to get -- run."

Play from 12:24[12:24]" Couple more -- and now to believe middle rotation thing to -- if I got the Mets right the first two guys who could. We'll get an extra days' rest before their second start dismiss it."

Play from 12:35[12:35]" Is that is that there anything."

Play from 12:37[12:37]" What it again nobody was going to goal. But nobody's going 14 and seven. 12 and three would go 56 and seven and there is some extra rest built in."

Play from 12:51[12:51]" Actually one guy did I think it's actually two days at the way it works out. We really felt strongly about the consistency. Of all all three of those guys where -- face it we think it sets up better for all of them. It. What John gets Election Day. So maybe a minimum news maybe -- next -- your mixed up he is getting extra day. Rather than one guy not who we've leaned on and -- other guys get up bunch. --"

Play from 13:33[13:33]" We're not going to rules so you mean you start one guy and and flip flop rotation. It. -- whoever it is is going to get. Did it."

Play from 13:53[13:53]" I think got mixed up -- but I've powerful New York Q."

Play from 14:00[14:00]" The last question is. The Lugo out there working out every day and just wondering especially now you have an extra spot in the infield -- play at all and has just been too long."

Play from 14:12[14:12]" I think it's I think it's been too long. Give him a lot of credit he's Tryon. I do want one of a conversation with him but I don't know how realistic that it it is to ask somebody to do that right now. But I won't -- have a conversation."

Play from 14:30[14:30]" And my theories. On how much mixing. -- Race person's."

Play from 14:40[14:40]" You know what's good question and I I don't have that answer yet need to. Look at some of our stuff. And exit to our meetings. And a pool -- them hopefully a much better idea -- want to do it. I knew I need to look a little bit more. In depth before give you an answer rather than just give you one that informed us."
