[0:39]" Well Karl started and musical middle school. -- and you know he was. Having problems very early colon in the school year. I talked about it. You know that he revealed to -- that you know kids were picking on him. And that they were calling -- K. Ian queen I covered a -- shared that with me I went to school. And you spoke with people without cool and I pulled them -- you know calling on. -- assured me you know they -- names of people that were calling him -- He was reluctant at first because he said he would be called snitch. But -- company -- the children. And these that they would you know take care of this. I joined the peace deal with the school. All the administrators at top schools they -- might mean. But I think you know toward the -- Everything became very overwhelming its members stopped. Last days of his life. He threatened. I had an incident that occurred its school. He and you know and that girl again and said do you act you act like a girl UN speech today. -- a mediation wines that he had to and eat lunch with this girl threatened to kill him for the rest of the week. And to the child that he is you know being nice to know -- to get in trouble. He agreed to to to eat lunch with the girl but she wouldn't eat lunch with him. And so someone attempts and I believe when it to school I know he told Davis has said that if you guys still -- together. -- to be. You can have begun a five game suspension. He and I tried to assure Carl that you know that wasn't gonna happen because a school never called me. They never called me that date to say that they it was a major incident involving. Into my intentions. On that evening after -- told me that story was. To take him to school that night because it was a PTO meeting. And I -- that director of the school went to be easier and I was going to try to get to the bottom of what happened acting. And I was never able to do that."
[3:06]" I'm so sorry for your loss. To to that end. Now there is a bill on Beacon Hill that would require school districts to report any bullying incidents and what kind of discipline they take to correct them. You obviously are in full support."
[3:22]" I am in full support. The message that I'd want to keep to pay your. Two working parents is that if this could happen to me. It could happen to any working parent. It crosses all social and economic level. Parents do not know what's going ones in the years school. Children are under attack each and every day -- in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Since this has happened to my son. I have received phone calls from parents. You know in Springfield. Telling me that telling -- the specific schools telling me what's going on with the child tell me that the child is being bullied. And schools have not responded."
[4:14]" And sir -- this one thing to happen kids are bullied physically and mentally. In the schools and then -- cyberspace that's a whole new world."
[4:25]" Yes -- and but again it's. You don't if you look across the country the acts of violence against young people it's by young people. The child in Chicago that was killed on at school going to school. The young the child in Florida that was doused with rubbing alcohol and set on fire by young people. The young girl in California that was coming home from home coming year. Com gang raped and in young people all around. Our children are under attack this is urgent. And crisis here and we need to have a law in police. So that teachers. Will get professional development. Teachers will be able to spot kids that are being bullied and won't be ignored it won't be within a vicious storm rite of passage. We -- trying to increase awareness. That they -- long term effects. -- and children that are believed they either are going to harm themselves or they're gonna harm other people."
