[0:00]" We are talking with senator Jean Shaheen -- Democrat New Hampshire. Senator this morning vice president Biden is saying that he expects health care overhaul legislation to be on the president's desk before Thanksgiving -- you think that timetables realistic."
[0:15]" Well I think last night to president made -- compelling case to the American people and to congress. That we got get this health care reform done and it's important for. Millions of families out there who were concerned about being able to keep their health care whether they can afford it. It's -- imperative for those families who don't have health care it's important for businesses that we can compete. And it's important for the economy so I think. There is and renewed impetus to end that congress to get that stab and to get it deficit."
[0:49]" Some are saying the president -- given this speech to three months ago what about that."
[0:54]" Well I think what's important is that he gave -- last night that we're getting to work next week we've heard that the finance committee is going to have. They -- bail out after that we. Expect that to be combined with the other bill -- out of the Senate to work with the house on what they've done and get something to the force that would about it."
[1:15]" The president has said in his speech senator that he would not add a dime to the deficit to pay for this program -- do we pay for."
[1:23]" While he made a commitment. That I think all of that share that we've got to be fiscally responsible as we pass this health care reform bill. And much of that. Hot that will be paid for through savings in the way we deliver health care. There are savings like. The proposal that I made and for Medicare. That would help what the cost every hospitalizations. Which right now are costing an additional 5000 dollars per Medicare patient. So I think we got. Savings like that that we can do a better job -- we deliver health care but he also talked about. -- Those insurance companies that provide -- high end insurance plans as a way to help spread the costs. So obviously weren't have to work out those details but I think that commitment is there among all of us that we got to pay for it."
[2:19]" We've heard about those raucous town hall style meetings will win when people with senators and congress people who and a host these events. Around the country what you're hearing from your constituency."
[2:32]" You know there's been a lot of this information people are very concerned about some of that that information that there going to be. Cuts to Medicare. Death penalty that the president talked about some of those. Deliberate. Effort to make people afraid of what we might do I think he put many of those arrests last night. And people are concerned as they should be. If they like their health care plan that they like their doctor. And this new proposal it's gonna make sure they can keep. What they liked but it's gonna work on fixing what's not working and our health care system."
[3:09]" Thank you senator Shaheen a pleasure how -- attack."
