[0:00]" I'm speaking with a film critic an expert Leonard Maltin. And and Leonard the sex for being here on WBZ. And you've been doing this for how many years now reviewing movies in looking -- movies. A long time. It don't repeat victory really got so we want to ask you how old you are now."

[0:20]" All of that -- in my -- in my late fifties that I've been I've been doing this a long time and and of course every presidential year. I start you know you'd think about how what's gone on year old life has been reflected in movies. And you know and of course. Hardly. This season goes by somebody doesn't depict -- were real president. A fictitious president. Election that could be an election that might be. And and it's turned out to be a lot of --"

[0:53]" And there are a lot of wonderful political movies out there. When you think of some genres like sides fighters Havanese stinker is but the really are a lot of good presidential movies aren't there."

[1:34]" maybe warts and some of the real candidates are so you have come up with a list of your overall favorite presidential themed movies correct."

[2:49]" I never Sobel worse or."

[2:50]" And it did anybody else so. But you know that's the beauty of dvd and cable and satellite all that is that you can become -- so important place. A senate candidate. Our senator he plays a sitting senator. Who get so Fed up with the cliches of the political process see -- real hard Amir -- decides -- his next run. He's going to -- just what he feels like."

[3:17]" How can you imagine."

[3:18]" Exactly and so he starts really stirring things and and he attacked the left he attacks the right. He attacked the status quo I think that's a remarkable well."

[3:30]" Well that's a renter for sure."

[3:33]" and that their comedies to visit film that the died I thought it should have been hit called my fellow Americans. It's 1996 with Jack Lemmon and James Garner. As to immediate ex presidents. Who are sabotaged by the current president who's got a scandal we've -- again. And -- they have to travel in -- need go across the country because they're targets of his assassination squad. And traveling across the country they meet real people for the first time in May be you know twenty years they believe that let this sheltered life as president."

[4:08]" Now have you had a chance to see the new movie that's out now Oliver stone's movie about George Bush George W."

[4:14]" Yes I have now of course that's as much about the guy before he became president as it is about that the president. And and that's the most interest in story committee is is too real to -- because no matter what part of the political spectrum that you happen to occupy. You have to admit that's a fascinating American story a man who who failed at everything. And the failed big at everything in his life until he was forty. And -- and then you know and -- gave up drink. You know found Jesus. Changed his life been changed is his direction but unlike any other story that you might even -- or find of that kind. He had to be the start of by that time a sitting president and you know and in the film that the big dynamic is the disapproval of his father who happens to be president."

[5:10]" How real do you think that is."

[5:12]" Well you know. I don't know I haven't read a lot of books. About you know the bush family in the bush family dynamic. But -- that the movie's pretty persuasive I think pretty sympathetic actually."

[5:24]" Interesting well we certainly see George Bush senior. Paddling around with Bill Clinton more than his own son it seems."

[5:33]" Well beauty I don't those are photo ops in the --"
