Play from 0:00[0:00]" Good morning. I'm senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and I speak to you today as a proud Democrat he proud American and a proud supporter of Barack Obama. Democrats from across the country Puerto Rico in the territories. Met in Denver this past week. To nominate Barack Obama and Joe Biden to be the next president and vice president of the United States. During our convention. We Democrats laid out clear bold solutions. To tackle the two biggest challenges confronting our nation. Economic disarray at home and a decline in American strength and support around the world. I hope every American will take the time to consider what is at stake in November. The contrast between us and the Republicans could not be Starker especially on issues that matter to middle class families. For me that's what this election is all about. When the polls have closed and the answer finally off the air it comes down to you the American people. Like the single mom I met who adopted two kids with autism. Didn't have health insurance and discovered she had cancer. But she greeted me with her bald head pain with my name on it and ask me to fight for health care. Or the young man in a marine corps teacher who waited months for medical care and said to me. Take care of my body's a lot of them are still over there and then we please help take care of me. And the boy who told me his mom worked for minimum wage and her employer has cut her hours he said he just didn't know what his family was going to do. That's why I ran for president for all those people who feel invisible and our country. And to help ensure that every child has the chance to live up to his or her god given potential. And that's why I'm proud to support Barack Obama. We need leaders who can tap into that unique blend. An American confidence and optimism that has enabled generations before us to meet our toughest challenges. Leaders who will renew the promise of America and restore our leadership in the world. With Barack Obama in the White House and Democrats leading in congress. We will revitalize the economy create jobs make college affordable again. And enable hard working Americans. To pay for gas food utilities and cover the monthly bills. Democrats we'll continue to fight to lower gas prices as we are doing now in congress even as John McCain in the Republican side with big oil. Will be tackling the challenge of 47 million Americans without health insurance. And I for one can't wait to watch president Barack Obama with the support of a democratic congress. Signed in July Universal Health Care that covers every single American. Will work hard to give middle class families the tax breaks they deserve will fight so women -- equal pay for equal work. We'll bring our troops home from Iraq responsibly. And ensure that our veterans are given the care and respect they have earned. But proper response be -- this is a fight for our future. Next week John McCain and the leaders of the Republican Party will hold a convention that offers a starkly different vision for our nation. Continuing in the same direction we're headed now. I -- all of you to join us in supporting the great ticket of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. And help elect Democrats in congress who will work with them. We don't have a moment to lose -- vote to spare. Nothing less than the fate of our nation and the future of our children hangs in the balance thank you very much."
