Play from 0:00[0:00]" I apologized to the folks or WBZ audience who wait anxiously each year to hear my Academy Award predictions all none of view. The thing was so below the radar this year I forgot all about it until last night when it dawned on me just before it fell asleep -- share that it was on. I realize it's a little odd to be giving their predictions about an event that already took place but you -- we have a bond of trust between us do we. So here we go. This year I actually saw several of the movies that one major nominations so I can't offer my usual unbiased ignorance. One of the once I saw no country for old men was a very dark crime story with lots of violence definitely not for the kids. An actor named Xavier barred them played the Psycho killer a role that's hard to do convincingly at a time when we see too much of the real thing on the news but he made my skin crawl and I predicted he won the Oscar. Best supporting actress the only one I saw was Kate -- as Bob Dylan and I'm not -- and she was brilliant just the right touch of obnoxious -- mania so why pick her to win. Best actor the only one I saw was Daniel day Lewis in there will be blood another must see that it's not for the whole family. He was terrific the Oscar goes to him. Best actress Julie Christie's nominated because she hasn't won an Oscar since 1966. And the sixties are very Ian these days so I figured the lemmings in the academy will -- for Julie Christie. And for the big one best picture it's a tough call for me because I actually saw two with a five nominees this year that eliminates the other three. No country for old man was brilliant movie making -- I said but there will be blood was also an indictment of capitalism and how ugly it can be. Hollywood loves that kind of thing because they're above capitalism right so there you have it hey how did I do"
