Has seen her TV ratings dropped 7% this year in part because of her public campaigning for Barack Obama. The New York Times writes that Oprah is Obama endorsement quote. Appears to have alienated some of the middle aged White women who make up the bulk of her television audience many of whom support Senator Hillary Clinton and quote. The times goes on to note that Oprah's favorability ratings have dropped. And suggest that her absence from any recent campaigning for Obama may be a result of that well. First of -- give -- a moment please gather myself. I'm slightly overwhelmed by the enormity of this news. Knowing of the strong bond many voters half with Oprah I find it astonishing that it could be ruptured this way by a mere expression of political preference. After all it's not as if she endorse someone truly offensive to all women like one of the three stooges. And come on it's Oprah we're talking about Oprah who empowers us nurtures us identifies insults our problems between commercial breaks shows us what to read and how to -- stressed by lighting candles and most important bull. Brings us up close and personal with Hollywood celebrity's. The political backlash against Oprah may be an ominous sign of things to come for the Democrats. If that many women are really willing tech cut Oprah out of their lives because it's their candidate didn't make it well. Surely voting for McCain in November as much less of the sacrifice.
